Bahçeşehir College, which was founded in 1994 in Bahçeşehir, is a part of the Bahçeşehir Uğur Educational Instutions family which has been active in the education field for almost five decades.
Motivated by the spreading high-quality education to all over Turkey, Bahçeşehir College has started to put into practice inspiring and leading educational models since the year of its foundation, 1994. After getting immediate success, it started to open new branches in Istanbul and Turkey.
Today, Bahçeşehir College serves over 75.000 students in 57 cities and 124 campuses. And since 1994, thanks to its revolutionary approaches in the language field and education models which are good enough to be an example worldwide, Bahçeşehir College leads modern and high-quality education in Turkey.
Bringing a new breath to the basketball community, Bahçeşehir College Sports Club Association focuses mainly on improving Turkish basketball with a ‘’fair - play’’ mentality and immediately pulled the spotlights.
In its first year, Bahçeşehir College has been crowned as 2017 - 2018 Federation Cup champions and earned a place in the Turkish Basketball Super League by reaching play - off finals in second division. In its first year in the Super League, Bahçeşehir College performed well enough to qualify for European competitions and in the 2019 - 2020 season, it competed in FIBA Europe Cup.
Bahçeşehir College was marching towards its first European trophy after eliminating its rival in the quarter-finals, but the season has come to a halt due to the coronavirus outbreak. Yet, it impressed the second-most prestigious tournament in the continent, Bahçeşehir College was invited to 7DAYS EuroCup in the 2020 - 2021 season.
After a year in the 7DAYS EuroCup, Bahçeşehir College returned to FIBA Europe Cup with an exciting rebuilded team and high ambitions and won it undefeated to bring the 7th European title to Turkey in men’s basketball.
Thanks to its schools, Bahçeşehir College Sports Club targets to create a strong youth programme. By that, it aims to bring in young people who are capable of meeting 21st century’s requirements to society. With its developing youth programme, Bahçeşehir College plans to introduce professional basketball to thousands of children and teenagers.
In a short span of time, Bahçeşehir College managed to attract serious amount of fans to stands by the virtue of its roots. Bahçeşehir College will continue to strive for raising fair - play spirit in Turkish basketball and sport. On and off the court, Bahcesehir College aims to improve itself every single year.
