Bahcesehir Koleji met Anadolu Efes on the road in the fourth gameweek of the ING Basketball Super League. The Red Dragons chase down its rivals in the whole game but couldn’t make it and lost the game 89 – 66.
Bahcesehir Koleji started with the Jamal Jones, Alex Perez, İsmet Akpınar, Deniz Kılıçlı ve Burak Can Yıldızlı five, against Anadolu Efes’ Rodrigue Beaubois, Sertaç Şanlı, Adrien Moerman, Buğra Tunder ve Krunoslav Simon. The hosts started with a tough defence and held the Red Dragons in the double digits at the end of the first quarter (25 – 14).
In the second quarter, Bahcesehir Koleji tried to get closer to its opponent with the scoring of Burak Can Yildizli but the hosts kept it’s lead and the teams went to the locker rooms with 50 – 32 Efes lead.
Coming off from the lockers, Bahcesehir started the third quarter with hustle plays from Thomas Akyazili and forced Anadolu Efes to take an early time out with eight minutes to go in the quarter (52 – 38). In the rest of the quarter, Bahcesehir Koleji constantly tried to cut down the lead and succeeded at it, the teams entered the last quarter with 65 – 55.
In the last quarter, Bahcesehir Koleji tried to get closer but Anadolu Efes held the Red Dragons at bay and won the game 89 – 66. This result means Bahcesehir Koleji lost its second league game in the 2020 – 2021 season.
